Young Rangers

26 October 2016

This Autumn the Snowdonia National Park Authority and the Outdoor Partnership have joined forces to pilot an exciting new Young Ranger scheme.

From rock climbing to conservation skills, the scheme has been set up to encourage interest in the outdoors and to provide a wide range of skills for young people  - the Rangers of the future!

We have recruited a small  team of enthusiastic and self-motivated young men and women aged between 14 – 16 to take part in the scheme and it will be running through Autumn 2016. They've already had a busy couple of weeks, firstly having an introduction to First Aid and then a day of surveying a wetland habitat and carrying out some woodland management.
