Simon Roberts, Senior Warden (South)

I have worked for the Snowdonia National Park since 2008, in the Warden and Access section and as a Project Officer for a Multi-user path, before becoming the Senior Warden for the south of the park in 2014. The south of the park stretches all the way from the village of Trawsfynydd down to the southernmost tip of the park at Aberdyfi.

I was brought up in the Abergwyngregyn area, which offers the best of mountain and sea. Of course, it was the mountain that had the biggest effect on me! It is a pleasure to serve the community where I was raised.

I live near Betws y Coed and have worked as a warden for the Snowdonia National Park for eight years. Before joining the National Park full time, I worked as a seasonal warden at Cwm Idwal.

I have worked for the Snowdonia National Park Authority since 1988 and am responsible for Llyn Tegid, Wales’ largest natural lake situated near Bala.

Rhys Gwynn, Area Warden (South)

As part of the Snowdonia National Park Warden team since 2004, my area includes the parishes of Ganllwyd, Llanfachreth, Brithdir, Rhydymain, Corris and Dolgellau. It’s a great place to work and although it’s a relatively quiet area it attracts a large number of visitors each year.

I have been a warden for the Snowdonia National Park since 2006 following seven years as an estate worker in the Dolgellau area. As a warden, I promote the good working relationship between visitors, local residents and the agricultural community.

Cader Idris

I joined the Authority in 1994, concentrating mainly on Cader Idris and the parishes of Trawsfynydd and Ganllwyd. I was born and raised in Llawrplwy' Trawsfynydd, therefore I know the area and it's people to a good degree.
