Plas y Brenin - The National Mountain Centre in Capel Curig offers indoor and outdoor climbing courses, and the Beacon Climbing Centre has relocated to the new modern indoor climbing facility on the Cibyn Estate in Caernarfon. For those seeking great adrenalin rush, challenge yourselves on one of the high ropes courses in Snowdonia.

Gaia Adventures

Plas y Brenin

Plas y Brenin is the National Mountain Centre for Wales based in Dyffryn Mymbyr in the heart of the National Park. The centre's purpose is to offer the highest quality mountaineering, climbing and canoeing training. Courses range from governing body award courses to multi-activity holidays, from advanced techniques in alpine climbing to accredited safety and rescue courses.

How to get there:
Plas y Brenin is less than a quarter of a mile south-west of the centre of Capel Curig on the A4086 road to Llanberis.

Facilities: 13m climbing wall and a training wall, Indoor canoe training pool (6m x 3m), 60m artificial ski slope, Fitness room, Accommodation with up to 65 beds

Tree Tops Adventure

Tree Tops Adventure is a high level adventurous journey through the trees that involves negotiating a series of obstacles. Participants are fitted with a harness and helmet and attached to a safety line.

How to get there:
Tree Tops Adventure is on the A470, Betws y Coed to Llanrwst road, approximately 1 mile north of Betws y Coed and 3 miles south of Llanrwst.

Facilities: The Adventurer’s course is available to reasonably fit people taller than 1.3m (4ft 3in). Two hours should be allowed for the adventure.
Also available to those seeking even more adrenalin rush is the 100ft plummet from the Tree Top Tower.

Beacon Climbing Centre

Beacon Climbing Centre has now relocated to a huge new modern facility, located on the Cibyn Estate in Caernarfon. The new centre offers the best indoor climbing facilities in North Wales, including the World's first CrazyClimb installation and a premium cafe with spectacular views overlooking the climbing areas.

Harlech & Ardudwy climbing wall

Harlech and Ardudwy climbing wall is the largest, most exciting and innovative wall in Southern Snowdonia. The main wall is 10m high and has 29 lines, 50+ routes from easy slabs at grade 3 up to 6c on the overhanging basalt columns and a 7c on the central tower.

Facilities: 5m high bouldering room, Beginner Introduction Climbing Course, Equipment Hire, Cafe, Swimming Pool
