Local Development Plan (LDP)
Adoption of the revised Eryri Local Development Plan
The revised Eryri Local Development Plan (2016-2031) was adopted by Snowdonia National Park Authority on the 6th of February, 2019.
The Local Development Plan is a material consideration in the determination of planning applications. The revised Eryri Local Development Plan (2016-2031) will replace the Eryri Local Development Plan (2007-2022).
The revised Eryri Local Development Plan consists of a Written Statement and the Proposals and Inset Maps and together with National Planning Policy will guide decisions on planning applications on all future development and land use planning within the National Park.

Hard copies of the adopted Eryri Local Development Plan 2016-2031 including its Proposals and Inset Maps will be available for inspection free of charge at the National Park Office, Penrhyndeudraeth, at public libraries in Barmouth, Bethesda, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Dolgellau, Penygroes, Tywyn, Porthmadog, Y Bala, Cerrigydrudion, Llanrwst, Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr, Conwy and at the Authority’s Information Centres in Betws y Coed, Aberdyfi and Beddgelert during normal opening times.
Sustainability Appraisal, Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment
The plan is also accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal and a Strategic Environmental Assessment, along with the Habitats Regulations Assessment Screening Report.
Consultation Report
A wide range of stakeholders have helped to prepare the revised Local Development Plan, and their continuing involvement in the process of implementation is crucial. Further information is contained in the accompanying Consultation Report & Addendum
Supplementary Planning Guidance
The Authority is now preparing new and updated Supplementary Planning Guidance for the revised Local Development Plan. Further information about this process can be found here.
