What is special about this walk?
This circular walk is an archaeological treat and takes you up to the foothills of the Carneddau mountain range where there is a wealth of archaeological features from the Stone Age. It will take you back along the Roman Road - see if you can spot some Arrow Stones or a Nine Men's Morris Board...

Standard of path:

  • Some steep sections
  • The path leads over farm land, marshy terrain, rough public footpaths, tracks and tarmac roads.
  • There are some gates and stiles along the route and you will need to cross over streams on stepping stones.
