This course is designed for students who wish to see a rapid progression in their Learning and painting technique. Develop your ability to paint with an aspect of invention and imagination. Respond to the rich and varied landscape of Snowdonia, coastal subjects and still life while working with small groups (up to 10x8ins) in acrylics or oils. The course includes learning about the diversity of approaches as practised by seasoned painters over many years and by practising contrasting approaches see how imagination can have an impact on your painting. You learn techniques for painting using small format supports. Create quick paint sketches in acrylics and/or oils, - working with wet-into-wet, impasto and palette-knife. The course is very much about substituting the straight jacket of keeping to a visual likeness for your own imaginative reponse to chosen subject matter.
